 King Edward VII Memorial Hospital, Falkland Islands The Department of Health and Social Services provides both Primary and Acute Healthcare services to approximately 5,000 people from both the civilian and military populations on the Falkland Islands. These services are delivered from the King Edward VII Memorial Hospital which is based in Stanley the capital. This is an exciting opportunity to influence the delivery of healthcare engineering services in the Falkland Islands. Reporting to the Director of Health and Social Services, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the estates and EBME operations, manage and deliver the capital programme and take a leading role in the wider corporate and organisational needs of the Department of Health and Social Services as a core member of the senior management team. We are seeking a multi–disciplined healthcare engineer with diverse managerial experience, excellent communication skills and attention to detail, in order to manage these services within this remote and rural environment. You will have a degree or HNC/HND in an engineering related subject, plus significant healthcare estates and/or EBME management experience and have appropriate demonstrable senior management experience in delivering healthcare engineering ser vices within agreed budget parameters. Appointment will be on contract with the Falkland Islands Government for a period of two years, with a salary ranging from £31,890 to £43,146 per annum, dependant on experience.
