Atus Systems Ltd
COMPANY INFORMATION
Atus designs and markets personal security and messaging systems for a wide spectrum of industries and sectors that include detention centres, hospitals, care homes, the hospitality market, industry and commerce. Personal Security, Paging and DECT systems from Atus keep employees safe in high-risk environments and are designed to deal with critical messaging. Speed and reliability are the key indicators to the systems success. At Atus we offer a wide variety of mobiles and functionality working in on fast and ultra-reliable communications networks tailored to meet specific requirements of each individual customer.
The origins of Atus are founded in the Personal Security Product division of the Bosch Group who are quite literally a household name for power tools, domestic appliances and Worcester boilers. Bosch acquired the Philips Security Division back in 2002 and as Philips were the first company to introduce a paging system in the 1950’s and also digital paging back in 1977 it was a wise investment as the infrastructure of the paging system proved so successful that it is still used as the backbone of the Atus system today.
In 1999, the PS-Micro personal security/officer alarm was introduced as part of the PS-6000 System and with its inherent compatibility with the existing pagers the PS-Micro could be used on the same infrastructure without the need to completely change the system.
In 2006, Bosch combined the Pager and the successful PS-Micro into one enclosure and so the diverse PS-Pager officer alarm unit was born. Atus also have one-way and two-way speech products in their portfolio along with DECT cordless telephony with embedded personal alarm functionality. The PS-DECT range is an IP based telephone system with nearly the same personal alarm features as a PS-Pager, so as a result these systems can be integrated together as virtually one system to offer unrivalled versatility in the marketplace.
