Exhibiting on stand C37 at this year’s Healthcare Estates exhibition, Trend Control Systems will share information on its latest building energy management systems (BEMS) for healthcare-specific solutions.
The company’s Peter Moore said: “The healthcare sector, more than most, is required to accommodate regular changes in the use of its buildings. However, these developments must be sustainable, affordable, and, above all else, remain compliant and resilient. The building energy management system (BEMS) that monitors and controls this built environment needs to offer flexibility and backwards compatibility to maximise the use of existing resources, and provide a high quality patient care environment.
“To this end, estates and facilities managers will benefit significantly from building resilience into their energy management controls systems – minimising risks associated with adverse situations such as plant failure or an environmental condition falling outside acceptable parameters – and thereby developing a sustainable, long lifecycle solution.”
A BEMS monitors and controls building services such as heating, ventilation, and air-conditioning, ensuring that they operate at maximum levels of efficiency, while delivering an optimal patient care and working environment. It does this by maintaining the right balance between energy usage and operating requirements.
Trend adds: “Liberating the BEMS data allows building managers to better analyse, understand, and improve, their site’s energy usage and costs.”
