Brandon Medical says it offers ‘the complete pendant solution’ for the clinical workspace – ‘from inception to completion’. The ‘smart design’ of the company’s Atlas Pendants offers ‘increased internal service capacity and greater load-bearing capacity’. Atlas Pendant systems provide ‘an adaptable, functional platform from which surgical procedures can be supported’; all medical gases, electrical, and data requirements are presented in the compact service console.
Atlas Pendants include the ‘Lightguide’ pendant brake indication – an intuitive indication system that uses illuminated LED coloured markers to give both an indication of brake release, and the point of rotation. The electro-magnetic brake comes as standard, improves user experience, and eliminates maintenance costs.
Although applicable to a variety of medical environments, Atlas Pendants have been combined with monitoring support and surgical illumination systems, creating a solution to provide all facilities required in modern endoscopy suites. The central mounting provides an equipment pendant with electrical/medical gas/data services. This is internally wired to transmit the images from the camera head to monitors, which can be positioned around the patient for the optimum view.
The system can be orientated to suit any procedure without any trailing interconnecting cables or floor-mounted obstructions. Additional monitoring support or surgical illumination can be added to the same mounting to provide a complete solution.
