Thermometry expert, TME, which exhibited for the second year running at last month’s Healthcare Estates exhibition, says its now ‘top-selling’ digital thermometer for Legionella applications, the MM2008 Legionella Thermometer, was developed ‘following valuable feedback on the problems experienced at the sharp end of water safety management’ from risk assessors and engineers attending the 2015 show.
The company said: The overwhelming demand was for a digital thermometer with integral timer to help streamline hot and cold water tests in large hospitals with multiple TMVs. Just a month after Healthcare Estates 2015, we launched the innovative MM2008 Legionella Thermometer, with both one- and twominute integral timers for hot and cold running times respectively. Now our top seller, the instrument is supplied as standard in our popular range of Legionnaire’s temperature kits.
The MM2008 is just one of TME’s wide range of water temperature testing products. The company said: “For example, low-cost TC Wall Ports simplify testing temperature points with impaired access, and are now available in red and blue colours for hot and cold water testing, while KS01-S Dual Purpose Surface/ Immersion probes have revolutionised quickly carrying out spot checks.”
