Medical IT isolated power systems and surgeon’s control panels manufactured by Bender are now available in the BIM (Building Information Modelling) 3D format, ‘enabling architects, designers, and engineers, to specify and design in products from the outset’.
Bender said: “BIM uses manufacturer-specific content to help create designs of new buildings and rooms, which are made available to stakeholders in more accurate interactive 3D format. When used to develop new healthcare facilities, BIM enables long-term operational efficiency and more cost-effective maintenance regimes to be included from the outset. Hospital estates teams are better equipped with more accurate information about the whole building from the outset, and medical teams can get a better feel for how the building will work. It also makes it easier for architects and contractors to work together throughout the entire building design process, reducing time and costs.”
BIM-modelled data is available directly from Bender UK, and is due to be hosted online in download format.
