Theatre lights offer fast set-up, ‘brilliant illumination’, versatility, and adjustability

Light is one of the critical elements in an operating theatre, greatly influencing the course of an operation, and essential for every successful procedure. Every situation, human tissue, and user, is different. Theatre procedures need lighting that is sufficiently versatile and adaptable for every situation and every operator.

Hospitals strive to improve success rates while simultaneously reducing costs. Achieving efficient results is extremely important – both for the budget and to stay ahead of the competition. KLS Martin presents innovative lighting technology in a compact unit: marLED X – technology that reduces the time required to set up the lights to a minimum, and maintains a very long service life.

Starkstrom, which will supply the marLED X exclusively in the UK, says the powerful, individually controllable LEDs ‘ensure brilliant and even illumination of the surgical field’. The company added: “No matter which light intensity, luminous field size, or colour temperature is required, marLED X provides numerous adjustments for the surgeon. marLED X illumination is more versatile than any other system. Anyone can operate the light system immediately without difficulty, and without having to learn how to operate it. Clear icons ensure that every action is completely intuitive. marLED X can be controlled using the luminaire body control panel or the optional control unit, marTouch Pro. Settings can be saved for specific users and specialties.”

The closed surface and flowoptimised housing design facilitate quick and thorough cleaning, while the operating light’s safety glass and IP55 protection ‘substantially increase safety and service life’. For more information on the marLED X, visit www.klsmartin.com
