Vistamatic says it has ‘always worked hard to be at the forefront’ when it comes to developing new and innovative observation solutions for use within healthcare environments, and especially the NHS.
“The greatest challenge for us,” the company explains, “has come over the past decade”, with the ever-evolving landscape of caring for mental health patients within the NHS. The way in which mental health patients are now cared for has changed drastically since the turn of century, and, accordingly, the needs and expectations of the mental healthcare facilities, and thus the demands on Vistamatic products, have also changed.”
Through working closely with leading architects (such as Gilling Dod and MAAP), and independent research bodies (such as BRE and BM TRADA), Vistamatic has developed a durable and flexible range of products, such as vision panels, all available with an anti-ligature operating system adjustable adjusted to the specific needs of the institution into which they are being installed. Vistamatic added: “We also offer a full range of bespoke products, as we know no one size fits-all. In addition, our patented operating mechanism has been tested to in excess 300,000 cycles, allowing us to offer a full lifetime warranty on all our products against faulty manufacture.”
Vistamatic says it is ‘proud to being working with the Design In Mental Health Network’, and will have all its latest products suitable for use within mental healthcare environments on display at the Design In Mental Health 2014 exhibition being held from 13-14 May at the National Motorcycle Museum in Birmingham.
Products shown will include the company’s specially designed Vistamatic anti-ligature vision panel complete with stainless steel frame and soft-closing VistaGlide damping system to ensure smooth, silent operation.
