Specialist fenestration company, Britplas, will launch its new Safevent Smart – ‘an optional and highly innovative enhancement’ to its multi- award-winning Safevent window. Safevent Smart is ‘an intelligent monitoring device’ for secure environments.
When fitted to a Safevent window, it detects if the window is subject to unusual forces which may indicate an attempt at attack, escape, or personal injury. Such an event triggers an alert to the nursing station or Britplas’s ‘24/7’ monitoring service, so that staff can intervene and prevent a serious incident occurring.
Britplas will also showcase its Rapidvent window – a sister product to the Safevent developed to provide optimum natural ventilation within healthcare environments, while helping to create a secure and pleasant environment for service users and staff. “Installing Rapidvent windows can help facilities lower carbon emissions and reduce running costs,” Britplas adds.
