In support of infection control departments and healthcare estates managers, a ‘unique, fast response service’ – the ‘TEAL Task Force (TTF)’ – has been created to help tackle medical emergencies immediately, with a ‘next day’ delivery of hired portable handwash units.
The service is available from TEAL Patents – which claims to be the UK’s leading manufacturer of portable handwash units requiring no access to mains water or drainage – and is said to be ideal ‘when units need to be hired at short notice because of an infection outbreak’.
The Stop n’Wash unit is available through TTF, and has been designed ‘to educate, and to encourage the correct handwash procedure’. With a synchronised display, it takes users through an automatic onscreen programme incorporating the ‘seven actions’ laid down by NHS guidelines.
TEAL Patents said: “TTF personnel deliver and install each hired unit, ensuring it is ready to use.” TEAL also trains relevant staff, such as those in hospital estates departments, in how to use and maintain the hired units.
