The new Merivaara range of Q Flow LED surgical lights now exclusively available through Bender UK offer ‘class-leading performance’ in terms of colour rendering, laminar air flow, and minimising shadowing of the operation site, the company says.
Bender UK said: “The Q-Flow range offers near-perfect colour, red, and skin rendering, full dimming controls, and the market’s widest light-field diameter range. Colour rendering is vital for surgeons and theatre staff to monitor the health and well-being of patients, and Q-Flow has achieved best-in-class 99% for R9 and R13 values, and 98% for Ra values in independent DEKRA tests.”
The light’s sleek, streamlined construction is designed to optimise laminar air flow. “The standard turbulence intensity should be below 37.5 %, but the Q-Flow delivers 15.9 % according to the DIN 1946-4:2008 standard,” Bender UK explained. “A smooth outer surface simplifies cleaning, while the light head has the highest IP65 rating, offering excellent protection from fluid and dust. Merivaara’s innovative Dynamic Obstacle Compensation (DOC) system automatically minimises shadows in the light field.”
