Howorth Medical, a division of Howorth Airtech, is to equip a new £45 m cardiac and elective surgery facility at Castle Hill Hospital, part of the Hull and East Yorkshire Hospitals NHS Trust, with four Exflow 32 Ultra Clean ventilation canopies and accompanying Howorth eXtension pendants.

The equipment will service the facility’s theatres, cath labs, bronchoscopy and laparoscopy theatres. The Exflow 32 provides an ultra-clean zone of 3.2 x 3.2 m, enabling an entire operating team, with all its instrument tables, to be accommodated beneath the canopy. Howorth will also fit out the theatres with a selection of flat-screen monitor support and stack pendants.
