Engineers and architects can now
modify and adapt to customer needs
and facility changes at the touch of a
button with the new Touch Screen
Theatre Control Panel (eTCP). The
product allows re-designs and
modifications at any time without
impacting performance, lead time or
project handover.
Andy King, director of Starkstrom, the London-based medical engineering company which designed the product, said: “The eTCP allows engineers and architects to have easy customisation before, during and even after installation. Once the project has been handed over, changes can be done just as easily by remote control through a standard modem set up. The ability for engineers to view, analyse and even make immediate “real time” changes means a significant increase in theatre availability without additional costs for the hospital.”
The ongoing battle against HAI (Hospital Acquired Infection) is also addressed. Conventional panels are a bacterial breeding ground of gaps, recesses and joints. The eTCP’s continuous flat front surface can be easily cleaned and is resistant to virtually all acids, cleaning fluids, and oils.
