Mobile light ensures regulatory compliance

The new small footprint design of the Galaxy Ultra Mobile’s base is home to an integral UPS system fitted with “quick-charge” batteries which can provide three hours unassisted support in case of emergency. This UPS has been seamlessly incorporated into the design with no extra boxes or trailing wires. This enables the light to get closer to the operating table without increasing the associated triphazard – meaning a surgeon can operate from literally underneath the lamp head. This introduces a new standard of safety into the operating theatre. The Galaxy Ultra Mobile is ideally suited to this task as the small footprint allows the light to remain out of the way during normal theatre operations but can still be moved to the table in the event of a power failure.
