NHS Shared Business Services has issued a preliminary market engagement (PME) notice for its proposed Design, Furniture and Appliances 3 framework agreement SBS10538.
The move signals NHS SBS’ intention to begin engaging with suppliers operating in this market, to develop a service specification that meets the needs of NHS and public sector organisations.
Valued at an estimated £80m, the renewal framework agreement aims to provide a comprehensive route for these organisations to access and buy a broad range of solutions including:
- Clinical and healthcare environment design services, which support with planning, utilisation analysis, and space optimisation.
- End-to-end consultancy interior design, space planning, and turnkey delivery services.
- Clinical point of care and challenging environment and mental health furniture.
- Ergonomic assessments, identifying risk factors that can cause discomfort or injury.
- Clinical theatre equipment.
- Environmental graphics, signage, and wayfinding.
- Circular economy solutions, including repair, renovation, and reconditioning of furniture.
- Cleaning products and equipment like robotic vacuums, scrubbers, and sweepers.
The closing date for this PME is Thursday 14 May.
