Sodexo Health & Care has won a three-year contract to provide soft FM services at the new Community Diagnostics Centre (CDC) in Stoke.
Building on its long-standing relationship with the Royal Stoke University Hospital – part of the University Hospitals of North Midlands NHS Trust (UHNM) – Sodexo will deliver portering, cleaning, and security at the brand-new site.
The new CDC has been developed to provide patients with quicker, more convenient access to a wide range of diagnostic services, helping to reduce waiting times and ease pressure on local hospitals.
Sodexo has employed 25 new staff from the local area to deliver services at the site, which welcomed its first patients in April.
Sodexo Health & Care CEO Rob Jepson said: “We are proud of our relationship with Royal Stoke University Hospital and we’re pleased that we’ve been able to extend this through the direct contract we have entered with them to provide services at the new CDC. This is a positive reflection of the impact our teams have on site, delivering service efficiency and helping to improve the onsite experience for the benefit of patients and frontline staff.”
Lorraine Whitehead, director of estates, facilities & PFI at UHNM, added: “We have made significant investment in the new CDC to enable us to provide more efficient services for people in our area. It was therefore essential that we chose a reliable FM partner to keep the centre operating effectively. With our long-standing relationship with Sodexo, we knew that they would bring the expertise and experience needed to support the smooth running of the centre from day one. This partnership will help ensure patients receive a high-quality experience and our teams can focus on delivering vital care.”
