T-safe UK has completed a strategic investment in Pocket Data Ltd (PDL), marking an important step in the company’s digital strategy and its ambition to transform how healthcare organisations manage water safety. The investment builds on the successful partnership between the two businesses behind FilterHub, T-safe’s digital platform for managing point-of-use water filtration programmes across complex healthcare estates.
Since its introduction, FilterHub has helped organisations bring greater visibility, control, and traceability to filter management – connecting individual filters to locations, tasks, users, and lifecycle data through a single digital system. The next phase of the partnership will see that concept evolve significantly.
T-safe and PDL will work together to expand the FilterHub platform beyond filtration, connecting a much broader range of water safety activities, data, and workflows within a single digital environment. The ambition is to help healthcare organisations move away from fragmented systems, spreadsheets, and disconnected processes towards a more connected approach – bringing together information across water safety planning, assets, sampling, laboratory results, actions, monitoring, and governance.
As part of the agreement, T-safe will become the exclusive distributor of PDL’s technology within the UK and Ireland healthcare sector, while T-safe UK MD Stephen McCreanor will join the PDL Board.
The investment represents another step in T-safe’s evolution from a specialist point-of-use filtration provider into a broader water safety solutions and technology business. Further details of the next generation of the platform will be revealed later this year.
T-safe UK MD Stephen McCreanor said: “FilterHub started with a very specific challenge: giving healthcare organisations better visibility and control over large-scale point-of-use filtration programmes. What became increasingly clear was that the same principle could be applied much more broadly. Water safety information is often fragmented across different systems, spreadsheets, contractors, and departments. The opportunity is to connect those activities and turn the data generated across a water safety programme into something much more useful. Our investment in Pocket Data gives us the technology partnership and development capability to accelerate that vision. FilterHub provides the foundation, but what we are building together goes considerably further.”
Rob Nicoll, director of Pocket Data Ltd, said: “Our work with T-safe on FilterHub has demonstrated what can be achieved when strong sector expertise is combined with the right technology. This partnership allows us to take that much further, developing technology around the real operational and governance challenges faced by healthcare water safety teams. We’re delighted to have T-safe as both an investor and strategic partner.”
