UK-based lighting, operating theatre equipment, and medical ‘AV’ systems specialist, Brandon Medical, has received a letter of gratitude from John Lownds, deputy head of trade at the UKTI Life Sciences Organisation, in recognition of its continuing success overseas.
Following a successful ‘inward mission’ during which a group of overseas commercial officers from UK embassies visited the newly-refurbished Brandon Medical site near Leeds, the company hosted another overseas group in March, with representatives from key markets such as China, India, and the US.
The company said: “Brandon Medical supports and acknowledges the demands of countries outside the EU through our non-Eurocentric approach to exporting. We are unique in the approach, which sees overseas representatives work on our behalf to ensure that our products can be bespoke to specific countries and markets. We regularly install Brandon equipment ‘packages’ designed specifically for the required market. For example, two ‘Quasar Elite’ operating theatre lights and two ‘Anteris’ operating theatre tables were installed at the Idaman Hospital in Indonesia, where sales have seen major growth.”
