Specialist Alarm Services (SAS) has manufactured and supplied high quality alarm systems for over 35 years, with its systems widely used in the UK and across Europe in secure units and psychiatric facilities, hospitals, CAMHS units, medical centres, children’s homes, care and residential homes, and specialist schools – ‘basically anywhere where staff may feel vulnerable at their place of work’.
The Red Alert II staff attack system and Network II nurse call system are designed to meet modern healthcare environments’ requirements, and incorporate design features ‘to provide a reliable, effective system for staff to easily use to protect themselves in emergency, or for service-users to call for assistance’.
In Manchester SAS will also demonstrate its recently developed ID Badge personal alarm device for acute hospital use – ‘mainly for keeping staff safe in potentially volatile areas such as A&E’. The new personal alarm replaces the standard NHS ID badge holder, and has a discreet alarm button which, when pressed, raises an alarm and identifies the user’s location within the ward.
