MTX achieves BIM Level 2 certification

Construction and engineering company and modular building specialist, MTX Contracts, has achieved Tier 1 British Standards Institute (BSI) Building Information Modelling (BIM) Level 2 Business / Certification following a 12-month verification process.

The award is in respect of PAS 1192-2:2013 Information Management for the Capital Delivery Phase of Construction Projects using Building Information Modelling.

The Tier 1 Contractor Award includes design, project, and construction management of traditional and offsite modular healthcare and education buildings complying with BIM Level 2 in accordance with PAS 1192-2:2013, BS 1192:2007, and BS 1192-4:2014. Describing the certification as ‘a significant leap in our ability to deliver BIM projects’, MTX Contracts says it has achieved BIM Level 2 as it ‘continues to deliver an increasing number of projects using digital technologies and with established processes and procedures in place’. The company added: “In line with the government’s 2025 Construction Strategy, and the intention to build on the mandate for all central government departments to be delivered in BIM, the award positions MTX as a partner of choice for public sector healthcare and education projects.

“The value of BIM and digital construction is endless, with the opportunity to achieve significant improvements in cost, programme, and safety. The value is achieved by collaboration, further enhancing the RIBA plan of work process, and ensuring that all parties are aligned to a common goal.”
