McAvoy strengthens management team

Offsite construction specialist, The McAvoy Group, has expanded its Board with the appointment of Martin O’Neill as Contracts director, further strengthening its management team.

With 25 years’ construction and civil engineering experience, he brings a wide range of project delivery expertise, and will ‘take responsibility for delivering offsite projects to the highest standards’. Collaborating at projects’ initial design and procurement stages, he will lead site operations to handover and postcompletion, working closely with the Group’s business development, commercial, and manufacturing teams.

Mark Lowry, managing director of The McAvoy Group, said: “We are continuing to grow and develop the McAvoy business, which in turn means strengthening the team with the best possible talent. We’re thrilled to welcome Martin to the Board. His experience, knowledge, and expertise, will be invaluable in driving the Group forward across a range of sectors. His combination of wide-ranging delivery experience, and a dedication to quality and health and safety, will ensure that our extensive pipeline of work – particularly in the education, infrastructure, and healthcare sectors – continues to be delivered to the very highest standards.”

A member of the Institution of Engineers Ireland, the new appointee was previously Regional director for Scotland and Northern England at Farrans Construction.
