In the Barts and The London New Hospitals Programme, the UK’s largest PFI healthcare scheme ever to be signed, Howorth Medical will provide ten Exflow 32 canopies for use in new operating theatres.
Larger theatre canopies chosen
The Exflow 32 is the larger of the Howorth Exflow canopies, providing an ultra clean airflow operating zone of 3.2 m2. This means the entire operating team and their instruments tables can be accommodated beneath the canopy. Despite the increase of nearly 50% in the volume of air generated by this Exflow, the design of this self-contained unit, with its four integral fans, achieves a noise level approaching 50 Dba, up to 5 Dba below the level set by HTM 2025.
