Successful suppliers for £750 m Decarbonisation Framework revealed

Procurement organisation and social enterprise, Fusion21, has announced the suppliers successfully appointed to its new £750 million Decarbonisation Framework.

Fifty specialist firms – including SMEs and multinational suppliers, are on the four-year framework, which features ‘Lot 2 Decarbonisation of Public & Education Buildings (worth up to £250 million)’ developed for the healthcare sector to access.

The framework is designed to provide solutions for energy efficiency measures, and is aimed at capital investment or public sector funding. Lot 2 supports the design and delivery of energy efficiency measures, and – Fusion21 says – offers a ‘whole building approach’ to non-domestic buildings in UK, including fabric, renewables, building management systems and controls, and improvement works.

Peter Francis, director of Operations at Fusion21, said: “Developed using member and supply chain feedback, this framework will support the sustainability strategies of NHS Trusts and other healthcare providers, as the sector looks towards delivering zero carbon healthcare buildings, while also benefiting staff, patients, and the wider community.  With the option to incorporate into existing asset management strategies or apply to complex multi-measure schemes, this offer builds upon the renewable and energy efficient solutions we already have available, and will help members to work towards environmental targets, developing their own net zero roadmap, reducing emissions, and maximising cost savings.”

Fusion21 added: “As with all of Fusion21’s frameworks, the Decarbonisation Framework enables Fusion21 members to deliver social value to their communities, aligned to their organisational priorities, and members will also benefit from working with an experienced team of technical procurement experts.”

The scope of the framework also permits property improvements to be carried out as part of the retrofit measures
