Addenbrookes Hospital in Cambridge is further boosting internal security with an extension to its existing access control system, which will be installed in a new emergency assessment unit later this year.
Internal security boost for Addenbrookes
The system, by smartcard application specialist G2 Integrated Solutions, will be commissioned by PKL Healthcare Group, who has the contract to deliver the complete project for Addenbrookes. It will be an expansion to the existing G2 access control system, which uses both ID badges and card access and provides security for sensitive areas such as maternity wards, theatres and neurology sections.
The new contract will help to further cement the strong working partnership between G2, PKL Healthcare and Addenbrookes.
