Singu acquires UK healthcare software provider

Singu, a European provider of cloud-based software for property and facilities management, has acquired UK-based Synbiotix.

The move strengthens Singu’s presence in the UK and expands its healthcare capabilities, with a focus on supporting operational and regulatory requirements in the NHS.

Synbiotix specialises in software for healthcare facilities management, covering catering, compliance, infection prevention and control (IPC), and audit and governance processes.

It says its tools help healthcare organisations manage regulatory obligations, reduce operational risk, and improve patient safety. The acquisition adds a healthcare-focused layer to Singu’s platform and complements its existing Micad solutions.

Following Singu’s acquisition of Micad in 2025, which enhanced its space and asset management capabilities, Synbiotix strengthens the Group’s integrated facilities management offering. Together, Singu provides the core CAFM and maintenance platform, Micad adds space, compliance, and asset intelligence, and Synbiotix delivers specialist digital tools for healthcare operations.

Paweł Malon, Group CEO, said: “The acquisition of Synbiotix significantly strengthens our position in the healthcare market and further establishes Singu as a leading European provider of property operations software. We are committed to building an integrated, end-to-end platform that drives value across complex property operations.”

Synbiotix will continue to operate within the Singu Group, ensuring continuity for existing customers while gaining access to a scalable, cloud-based platform. The integration also opens opportunities to extend Synbiotix’s solutions to the existing Micad customer base, supporting operations across more than 200 NHS Trusts.

Mark Edell, Managing director of Synbiotix, added: “Joining Singu represents a strategic milestone for Synbiotix. We contribute deep healthcare expertise while benefiting from the technological strength and scalability of the Singu platform, creating new opportunities to deliver greater value to healthcare organisations.”

The acquisition forms part of Singu’s growth strategy in Europe which it says highlights the strategic importance of healthcare to the Group.
