MMC in healthcare: how to avoid costly deployment risks

Brandon Medical, the UK-based manufacturer of SMART operating theatres and critical care environments, is hosting a free, specialist webinar focused on de-risking healthcare infrastructure projects using Modern Methods of Construction (MMC).

With MMC now embedded within the UK Construction Playbook, NHS Hospital 2.0 standards and the New Hospital Programme, the session will examine how modular delivery models are reshaping project sequencing, specification timing, and risk management in acute care environments.

Led by Richard McAuley, national specification manager at Brandon Medical, the webinar will explore how early supply chain involvement, design freeze discipline, and first-fix versus final-fix strategies can mitigate structural, logistical and compliance risks. Particular attention will be given to operating theatres, where ceiling loads, ultraclean ventilation integration, IPS/UPS resilience and robotic surgery requirements demand early coordination.

The session is aimed at clinicians, estates teams, architects, consulting engineers and project managers involved in healthcare design and specification.

Brandon Medical is part of the Reinsberg Group, a European solution provider delivering modular, intelligent and sustainable hospital infrastructure from emergency departments to operating theatres and wards.

The webinar includes a live demonstration and Q&A and is free to attend.
