Awards for best facilities management service, best estates service, and for the best sustainable estates strategies in both acute and primary care settings, will be among those presented at the 2009 Building Better Healthcare (BBH) Awards, for which entries close on 30 June.
The estates and facilities management awards “class” has been “completely re-worked” to address current healthcare sector priorities. For instance this year’s award for best facilities management service will recognise “an overall FM service that embraces the widest possible scope of infection control policies, meets the needs of clinical teams, and improves patient safety”. Other awards will reward areas including best interior design; best external space; best hospital design; best primary care design; best sustainable design, and best international design. The 2009 awards ceremony takes place on 12 November, as last year, at London’s The Brewery. For more information visit: www.bbhealthcare.co.uk/awards or telephone: 01268 495600.
