HFC launches innovative online TV channel

The Healthcare Facilities Consortium recently launched a new resource for healthcare professionals working in Facilities Management.

Focused FM TV is a free online TV channel described by Mike MacKay, project Director for Serco, as “one of the most innovative developments in the NHS this year so far!” in his presentation to the Association of Healthcare Cleaning Professionals (AHCP) conference in Glasgow recently.

Our aim is to promote best practice, innovation and topical debate through an ongoing series of short interviews and programmes aimed at FM professionals working in the healthcare sector.

With many programmes already available to view from the www.focused-fm.tv website and more content being added every week, this new concept in informing FM professionals is becoming increasingly popular.  In the first month of launch GBTV, our partners for the project, have received 600 subscribers to the service with the number increasing daily, the fastest growth they have seen for such a channel.  Some of the content already available to view free of charge includes:

? Towards world class facilities: HEFMA 2009 conference
? Rob Smith on FM tackling the efficiency and carbon reduction challenge
? ICNA - Launching the Infection Prevention Society
? Improving public awareness of good hygiene practice - Professor John Oxford, Hygiene Council
? Understanding the Corporate Manslaughter Act - Ian Barker, Medical Defence Union

Subscribers to this free service receive an e-mail update as soon as new content is available to view.
