At the end of 2005, the ITAL TBS Group completed the acquisition of the Surgitech Group from Cardinal. The Surgitech Group includes three companies: Surgical Technologies BV (NL), STI Deutschland GmbH (DE), which will be incorporated into TBS DE, and Surgitech Europe – Surgitech Italy Division.
Group strengthens leadership in Europe
The newly acquired companies operate in the field of
multi-vendor maintenance services of rigid and flexible endoscopy equipment
which, as is widely known, are the most significant cost items in clinical engineering
services. Healthcare organisations pay particular attention to the speed,
efficiency and quality of these services. With this new acquisition, the group
can now count on six laboratories (totalling 2,800m2), all of them
comprehensively equipped and able to operate in a coordinated and synergistic
way. They are located in Lyon, France; Henseld – Ulzburg, Germany;
Southend-on-Sea, UK; Milan and Trieste, Italy; and Didam, Holland.
